Patna: Amid the ongoing CBI probe into the NEET exam question paper leak case, the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of the Bihar Police has uncovered several shocking details that reveal the extensive underbelly of the exam mafia. This discovery has led to a recent spate of exam cancellations, leaving aspirants across the country worried and puzzled.

According to sources, the EOU’s investigation identified Sanjeev Mukhiya as the mastermind behind the NEET paper leak in Bihar. Mukhiya remains at large, and efforts to apprehend him are ongoing. The investigation has exposed a vast network of the exam mafia that operates across the country at different levels.

The EOU has arrested 19 individuals in connection with the paper leak case. Among them, Amit Anand and Nitish Kumar have been identified as ‘Level 2’ operatives working directly for Mukhiya. Sources indicate that Nitish and Amit initially began their illegal activities under the aegis of Atul Vats and Anshul Singh of the Ravi Atri gang based in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Nitish and Amit played crucial roles in the NEET paper leak scheme. Their primary task was to identify candidates willing to pay for guaranteed exam success. Once they secured candidates, they would then locate ‘solvers’—individuals capable of answering the question papers accurately. These solvers were integral to the operation, ensuring that the paying candidates would pass the exam.
